i love up and coming blogs. Blogs that stay true to their passion and put in the work.Aaron yeboah happens to be one of those passionate young fellas out there. He blogs about comics, technology,music and he throws in the usual fashion once in a while. I was privileged to interview him on behalf of his blogs .2dots which he started with his bestfriend Nafisah and ironfistfan

F:What inspired you to start blogging?

The idea for me to start blogging came from my best friend and partner in crime (Nafisah), who pitched the idea of us doing something that we love as in Fashion,creativity,movies,music,arts,comics, pop culture and anything that fit to our personal lives and the best way to put all this together in one place is a blog. So 2dots is just us blogging about what we love.

F:2dots, why the name for your blog?
A:Originally we came up with i-canblog,as in a person able to do whatever they like and desire, but it was around that time Obama was doing his presidential campaign so it sounded like it was a presidential campaign blog. So we decided to come up with a new name, so the “2″ as in me and her and the “dots” is a bit funny lol, is the format we use to text each other, we put two dots after the end of every sentence instead of a comma or a dot lol

F:Most Ghanaians will view your love for skating as odd, i know we don’t skate in Ghana,do you plan on taking this culture back home?

A: Umm yea i do love skating but i am not a skater, i just love watching x-games, i think now there are skaters in Ghana but is not as much..but yea if in future i get the right resources, i will be glad to do that.

F:Lets dive into fashion? As a man, what are your must-haves regarding your style?

A:Okay cool..I am a simple basic guy, i am not really into fashion that much,i am not trendy as in getting what most people get. i try my best to come up with a good look,i am a watch fanatic,a Cool watch is a must have,i prefer Cool shirts mostly geeky graphic tees, basic denim jeans as far as sneakers i prefer Converse, all that is my normal everyday,to school look.

F:What are your fav brands? how do they incorporate in your daily life?
A:Like i said with my must haves, i like simple basic stuff, as far as clothes do not really have much favorites i guess i judge by the style and look. Shoes i like most converses and steve madden. Watches, my all time favorite is brand is a Japanese watch, i cant say the brand because my best friend will kill me if i do lol, but i like Kr3w halo watch and Vestal Chrono watches. I just want to look good and i think it depends on you the person, having confidence in what you wear that is all that matters.

F: i believe the urban gentleman should own at least 3 must haves, a bow tie, cardigan and scarf, what do you think?

6.True each of them is a must have, i personally love them all, i think it is classy.

F:What are some of your fav. fashion designers?
A:Umm i will say me lol just because i design most of the geeky graphic tees. And like i said i am not a Fashion guru but i do like a lot of what i see.

F:High end brands like gucci, balenciaga, prada and YSL now invest in sneaker lines, what do you think? Are they doing a good job or you think they should stick to their clothing and dress shoes?

A:I think is a cool idea as they provide for best of both worlds as in urban looks and casual looks.

F:What are some of your fav. up and coming rappers? i see you post a lot of J.cole’s music on the 2dots.

A:Cool i am glad you noticed that, I think J.Cole is the future of hiphop, as far as bringing real hiphop back with great lyricism,great storys that anyone can relate to and he produce his own music!! he got the potential to be the next Nas. i also like B.O.B i think he is talented, Blu, Tyga, Diggy and of course Drake.

F:Who is your fav. artist of all time?

A:Favorite of all time that will be Nas, best lyricist, best story teller, he makes real music and has been doing that since early 90′s and he is still strong.

F:What is your fav. album of all time?

A:Favorite album of all time, that is hard, i do not think i have a favorite of all time but Illimatic and late Registration are one of the greatest to me.

F:Lets get into your comic blog,ironfistfan, how did you get into comics? and is the blog only for ironfist?

A:I got into comics at a really young age back in Ghana, I think i was 7yrs old and around that time whenever one purchase a toothpaste inside the box there will be a one page comic of Spiderman, so i got interested, read most of what i could get my hands on till the company stopped doing that. Later on when i was around 12years i went to a book fair with my friend and we discovered a store that sell comics, we bought a lot of them , but since Ghana we do not have comic book store it was hard for me to get more, till i moved to the US and i started reading comics again i found Iron Fist character really interesting because of the rich storytelling the writers did and also balancing that with Kung Fu and action packed sequence to it.

F: You have cool blogs, where do you see both of them 5 years from now?

A:Just continuing doing what i love and hopefully more  people recognizing and appreciating it.
